I just checked the freezer and (to my satisfaction) I didn't find any ruptured bags of tomatoes. I guess a little bit of space is enough. You certainly don't want to fill the bags entirely to the brim. Leave some space for them to expand.

Regarding canning: yes, also great to do. We did both this year but only blogged about the freezer bag method. Thanks for reading and commenting.
TATETate Bushellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13061238919007820163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8236912482034696757.post-57914763793339514362012-10-11T15:02:59.186-04:002012-10-11T15:02:59.186-04:00You're so right! While canning is a lot work, freezing looks easier, less time consuming. I noticed your bags are very full. Is there no need to leave a bit of space in the freezer bags for expansion?
Just wondering before I try it.
Thanks for this tip, along with all the other great information on this blog!Terrinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8236912482034696757.post-37856026575147945842012-10-02T09:52:59.688-04:002012-10-02T09:52:59.688-04:00this was a good one
